“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”- Carl Rogers
It can be really tough sometimes to know where to start when you feel 'stuck' and unsure. I myself have been in this place. However, exploring your thoughts, feelings and behaviours in a warm, safe and empathetic space can support this.
I am a fully qualified and insured Humanistic Counsellor with a DipHE in Humanistic Counselling.
I am a registered member of the BACP and abide by their ethical framework as I believe safe and ethical practice is paramount.
I passionately believe, that having someone who cares and holds hope for you in a safe place is unique and allows for growth and healing.
I have a real passion for people finding their own voice and knowing themselves deeply.
I provide counselling sessions for adults aged 18 or over.
I hope to be able to facilitate for you to connect with yourself and your wants. I believe that self-awareness provides the tools for us to meet our own needs, take back control and facilitate change.
Reframing and challenging long-held core beliefs or introjections we may have about ourselves can help 'unstuck' us.
I have worked with mental health charities supporting people struggling with their mental health. Thus, I have a deep awareness of differing mental health conditions and how they impact everyone differently.
I can work creatively and provide some basic DBT and CBT skills which I obtained from working within mental health charities.
I offer a free 20-minute call to help you see if I am the right counsellor for you.
I conduct sessions both online (Via Zoom) and in person in my counselling room in Eastleigh.
It is easily accessible from Southampton, Romsey and Winchester.
Clients are able to make use of free parking on-site.
The session fee is £40 per session, with some limited slots for concessionary rates for low-income individuals, students and trainee counsellors (please enquire for further information).
I take payment by BACS, Cash and Cheque. If you have any questions about this, please do feel free to get in touch and I would be more than happy to provide some clarification.
The therapeutic relationship is really important to me, so I offer a free 20-minute call to help you see if I am the right counsellor for you.
The session lengths would be 50 minutes and often take place weekly.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how counselling works, or to arrange an appointment. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to counselling, whether it could be helpful for you and whether I am the right therapist to help.
You can also call me on 07596 527115 if you would prefer to leave a message or speak to me first. I am happy to discuss any queries or questions you may have prior to arranging an initial appointment.
